Sunday, January 18th – Friday, January 22nd
While I had been traveling with the group from Canada and North Carolina, Mandy had been staying with dear friends of ours in Centenary, a formerly thriving commercial farming community in the Northeast of the country.
The area leader picked me up from the city guest-house and drove me out to Centenary, where I had the privilege of speaking to the congregation of farmers still in the area as they met for worship. Mandy and I then spent some personal time visiting folk in the community before being driven by our friends back into the city to embark on the next round of engagements.
